Light your cigars and load up your Tommy guns because the newest “Call of Duty:Zombies” mode was revealed yesterday at San Diego Comic-con and will put players into the 1940s and will star Heather Graham, Robert Picardo, Neal McDonough, Ron Pearlman and Mr. Brundlefly himself Jeff Goldblum. The gameplay itself still looks like it will retain the classic “Zombies” mode that fans come to love and instead of using a transit system like in “Black Ops 2” will instead put players into a huge open world just like the last two DLCs for “Black Ops 2”.

Where it gets interesting are the 3 things that appear in the trailer; Firstly we see a magically gumball machine that dispenses gumballs for your character to chew on, depending on which one you get it seems can alter game play in both small and large scales, I saw one person get a full ammo reload dropped right in front of them, I saw another person teleport “Houdini Splicer” style (Bioshock reference) and I saw one player grow large angry tentacles creatures out of their back and mow down  a horde of zombies. Secondly was the all new enemy types, it appears that “Zombies” will now have flying acid spitting bugs and a huge 3 headed tentacle monster to fight off against sort of like a boss battle in a way, not much information has been released about that but more should surface. Lastly are the new weapons, because this is set during the 1940s we are finally going to be getting back the classic “World At War” weapons that weren’t as apparent in “Black Ops 2” as well we are getting the return of the pack-a-punch machine (A machine used to amp up your weapons and make them stronger) and the riot shield.

Also when you purchase the seasons pass you will get access to “The Giant” bonus zombie map which is a remake of the classic zombie map “Der Rise” and is said to finally wrap up the never ending story line of the original 4 survivors Tank, Nikolai, Takeo and Richtofen. All in all this “Zombies” installment looks to keep players entertained for a while and although I personally think it won’t be that hard to top “Black ops 2’s” Transit mode it will be an uphill battle to top the amazing “Zombies” mode that was in the first “Black Ops” and with that I say to Treyarch, good luck trying to top “Ascension”. “Call of Duty Black Ops 3” will be available on PC, current and last gen consoles November 6th. 2015.
