Today I stumbled across the short film titled ‘The Grey Matter’, the best way I can describe it is strange , but very cool and extremely well done. The eighteen minute film begins with a man named Simon, laying in an alley. After waking up and returning home Simon discovers a big hole in the back of his head. Not thinking much about it, he bandages it and heads off to his dead end job. Life is about to get strange and complicated for Simon.

‘The Grey Matter’ comes from a talented duo, the McCoubrey Brothers. Pete McCoubrey wrote the screenplay and he and his brother Luke McCoubrey directed the film together.  The McCoubrey brothers have been involved with movies such as ‘An American Werewolf in London’ and ‘Return of the Living Dead’.

‘The Grey Matter’ stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the soft spoken Simon Peterson. Bachrach also had roles in ‘The Last Ship’ TV series and ‘Come Out And Play’ (2012). Simon’s love interest is played by Lucy Walters (‘The ROLE Model’). Carter Roy plays Simon’s bad boy best friend Mitch.
