Even us hard core horror fans have to take a break from the terror we are so addicted to. We rarely turn to romantic comedies for entertainment, most dramas aren’t enough to keep us entertained. So where do we turn, horror-comedies of course. There have been many great ones, like ‘Tucker and Dale vs Evil’. The horror-comedy ‘What We Do In The Shadows’ is drawing a lot of attention.
Four vampires, Viago (Taika Waititi), Deacon (Jonathan Brugh) Nick (Cori Gonzales-Macuer) and Vladislav (Jemaine Clement), are struggling to cope with the monotony of modern life in New Zealand . Between paying bills, band practice, nightclubs and the drama that comes with knowing each for so long, they are bored stiff. A documentary film crew are following the group and documenting their lives. The movie also shows the group interacting with people and other monsters, including werewolves and zombies.
‘What We Do In The Shadows’ was written and directed by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, who also play two of the vampires.
‘What We Do In The Shadows’ is now out on DVD.
