Ana Lily Amirpour may not be a name you are familiar with due to the freshness of her career, but she is sure to be a household name in horror if she continues at her current rate!

Amirpour is an Iranian-American film director, screenwriter, producer and actor who is currently most widely known for her feature film debut, A Girl Walks Home at Night. The movie is based on a previous short film she wrote and directed of the same title, and she describes it as an “Iranian Vampire Spaghetti Western” – intrigued yet?

The movie premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2014 and is set to be distributed by VICE Films. She has described her next film as: “a post-apocalyptic cannibal love story set in a Texas wasteland” where a “muscled cannibal breaks the rule ‘don’t play with your food””

She’s certainly a creative force to watch!
