Scream’ season 2 ended with that Scooby-doo-ish bloodbath which consisted of last October’s Halloween TV-movie. The flick bestowed the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, John Karna, Bex Taylor Klaus, Carlson Young and Santiago Sagura. But that’s enough of that, you can read all about that on my continued coverage of SCREAM with the below links.

On a different note, we previously reported SCREAM was to return with a  third season, which according to BLASTR, is coming later this year, with a total revamp; new plot, new cast and new rules. And now as of recently we have the new cast! Thanks TVLine!
The new cast via TV Line is
* First up is Dion, a Michael B. Jordan-esque football player on track to score a college scholarship — that is, until a masked killer uses Dion’s darkest secrets against him, turning his life upside down and making him question his own sanity.
* Liv is Dion’s cheerleader girlfriend, as beautiful as she is brilliant. She’s also down to lend a helping hand where needed, though her good intentions often land her in hot water.
* Kym is the rebellious one of the group, always willing to say what everyone else is thinking. She’s organized and protective, two qualities that will serve her well when a killer starts targeting her friends.
* Beth is a little different from her fellow seniors, sporting a goth look and a morbid collection of interests. A “walking encyclopedia of all things horror,” she’s compared to The Craft‘s Fairuza Balk.
* And then there’s Dion’s step-brother Jamal. Despite hanging out with a rough crowd, he’s got a big heart and an undying loyalty to Dion.
The news site also claims MTV is making it their personal mission to make the third season’/ cast totally diverse making the Dion and Jamal characters African American and other members of the cast of different backgrounds.
As reported in the past SCREAM’S S3 will be produced by Queen Latifah, partnering with Shakim Compere and Yaneley Arty to produce the season under her and Compere’s Flavor Unit Entertainment banner. Harvey and Bob Weinstein will remain on board as exec producers via Dimension TV, as will Wes Craven, Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley, Marianne Maddalena and Cathy Conrad. Matthew Singer and Keith Levine produce. Brian Matthews (The Vampire Diaries) acts as new show-runner.
