Fans are eagerly waiting for The Walking Dead to return for season 7. Most fans are still debating about who it will be that dies by the hand of Negan. But with death, a regular occurrence on the hit show, comes life, as in new characters. Ezekiel will be showing up this season, but he’s not the only new face we will see. Sure, there are lots of new background characters to meet living in The Kingdom, where Ezekiel rules. But that’s not who we are talking about.
TVline has reported that two new important characters will be debuting this season, and neither are from the comics. That’s right, they are completely new. AMC has not confirmed the identity of the actresses, but we do know that Breaking Bad actress Anna Gunn is being eyed to play Naomi, a grandmotherly type, who has lost a lot of people that she cared about. Reportedly, Kiernan Shipka of Mad Men will be playing the second new character, Jennie, a tough teen with a sweet side.
The season seven premieres in October, the trailer should help curb your Walking Dead withdrawals. It will arrive next month, first debuting at San Diago Comic Con. The moment it is released, we will post it.
