Eli Roth’s holiday horror hit, Thanksgiving, is carving its way into living rooms this month on Digital and Blu-ray/DVD! Get ready for bloody mayhem when the film arrives on Digital on January 16th and Blu-ray and DVD on January 30th before slashing its way onto Netflix this March.

The Story:

Thanksgiving picks up after a Black Friday riot sends Plymouth, Massachusetts – the birthplace of the infamous holiday – into a tailspin. But that’s just the stuffing before the terror. A mysterious killer with a Thanksgiving twist emerges, leaving no Pilgrim, tourist, or pumpkin pie unsliced.

The Cast:

Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Milo Manheim, Nell Verlaque, Gina Gershon, Tim Dillon, and Rick Hoffman star in this gory feast for slasher fans. Eli Roth co-wrote the script with Jeff Rendell, directing this bone-chilling tale for Roger Birnbaum and his own production company.

The film’s origin story:

The origins of Thanksgiving can be traced back to 2007’s Grindhouse, a double-feature exploitation film from Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. In Grindhouse, Roth directed a fake trailer for a fictional movie called Thanksgiving, which quickly became a cult classic. Over a decade later, that fake trailer has become a full-fledged feature film. Now, it’s ready to carve its way into your horror movie collection.
