Ella Purnell, who played a lead role in the hit series adaptation “Fallout,” which has already been renewed for a second season, now stars in the new series “Sweatpea,” as a woman with a deadly secret. Much like “Fallout, “Sweetpea” is getting rave reviews. In fact, it has already received a rare perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score.
The new series centers on Purnell as Rhiannon, a wallflower with a deadly secret. Rhiannon is overlooked and underappreciated, her love life is in ruins, and she is treated like she’s invisible. However, when she begins to daydream about who she’d like to kill, it’s long before her dreams become a reality. She’s fed up, and now everyone in her life who has mistreated her is on the chopping block.
Purnell is joined by a talented cast that includes Nicôle Lecky (Sense8), Jon Pointing (Big Boys), Calam Lynch (Dunkirk), and Leah Harvey (Foundation). Jeremy Swift and Dustin Demri-Burns round out the cast. Purnell executive produces the series alongside a talented team that includes Kirstie Swain, Ella Jones, and Patrick Walters.
“Sweetpea” promises a wild ride filled with unexpected twists and turns and plenty of action. Its unique blend of dark humor and suspense makes it a six-episode series you won’t want to miss. The good news is that you can watch it now on Starz.
