From director E.L. Katz (The Haunting of Bly Manor) comes the gripping new post-apocalyptic horror film Azrael, featuring an all-star cast that includes Ready or Not’s Samara Weaving and Natathan Stweart-Jarrett (Candyman 2021).
The movie opened in theaters in September. This weekend, it will make its streaming debut exclusively on Shudder and should be on your “must-see” list.
Set in a chaotic world after the rapture, Azreal is a dark tale of survival and sacrifice. A mysterious, devout community lives deep within the forest, but there is a price for their existence, their survival. A woman, Azrael (Samara Weaving), is set to be an unwilling sacrifice to appease an ancient evil that resides deep within the wilderness. But she won’t give up without a fight.
The film sees Weaving reunite with writer Simon Barrett (The Guest, You’re Next). Johhan Rosenberg, Eero Milonoff, Sabastian Bull, Rea Lest, and Phong Giang round out the cast.
Producers include Dan Kagan (California King), Dave Caplan (Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), and Simon Barrett. Jason Cloth (Ghostbusters: Afterlife) and Katrin Kissa (Captain Volkogonov Escaped) executive produce.
The movie Azrael is a must-see with its intense action, suspenseful atmosphere, chilling premise, and fantastic cast. It will debut on Shudder on October 25. So, pop some popcorn, snuggle in tight, and get ready for a wild ride.
