AMC Networks has unveiled the spellbinding trailer for the second season of “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches,” starring Alexandra Daddario and Jack Huston. The streaming service has also revealed that the hit series will return this January, packed with action, suspense, and magic.
The series is based on Anne Rice’s “Lives of the Mayfair Witches.” It also stars Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, and Alyssa Jirrels alongside Daddario and Huston.
In the first season, an intuitive young neurosurgeon (Daddario) discovers she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.
The new season will continue to explore Rowan Mayfair’s (Daddario) journey into the supernatural. After Rowan gives birth to the demon Lasher (Huston), season two sees her determined to understand what he is, human or monster. Rowan continues on her mission to become a healer. However, when tragedy strikes, she must put aside her desires and fight to protect her family from evil.
The additional cast includes Ben Feldman, Ted Levine, and Thora Birch. Mark Johnson, showrunner Esta Spalding, Tom Williams, Michelle Ashford, and Christopher Rice executive produce the series. AMC Studios produces.
