TriCoast Worldwide brings chills to Tubi with She Came Back. This unsettling film, formerly titled Maternal, will captivate audiences with its unique spin on the afterlife.

Award-winning actress Megan Follows takes the director’s chair for She Came Back, showcasing her talents behind the camera. Follows, known for her role in the series “Reign,” brings her experience to this exploration of grief, loss, and the bonds that transcend life itself.

Amybeth McNulty impressed audiences in “Stranger Things” and “Anne with an E.” Now she delivers a compelling performance as Charlie McLeod, a 16-year-old caught in a terrifying situation. Charlie’s world is turned upside down after a car accident leaves her clinging to life.

“Amybeth McNulty is captivating as the tormented survivor in She Came Back,” says Strath Hamilton of TriCoast Worldwide. “Traditionally, we see stories of characters yearning to reunite with deceased loved ones. She Came Back flips the script, presenting a terrifying scenario where the departed refuses to let go.”

On the operating table, Charlie experiences a near-death encounter, reconnecting with her deceased mother, Claire. While Charlie survives the physical accident, a more profound struggle awaits. Claire’s spirit, awakened by the near-death experience, refuses to let go. Charlie is convinced Claire is meant to join her in the afterlife. She exerts influence and attempts to pull her daughter away from the living world.

She Came Back explores grief and the power of love across the divide between life and death. Watch it now on TUBI’s free streaming service, which features a horde of horror films and more, including the recently released horror film Curse of the Necklace.
