RLJE Films and Shudder have announced the premiere date for the horror comedy Clown in a Cornfield, an adaptation of Adam Cesare’s Bram Stoker Award-winning horror novel.
The film is directed by Eli Craig, who knows how to do horror comedies right. He’s best known for his hilarious cult classic Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. He’s also behind the movie Little Evil and the “Zombieland” TV series.
Clown in a Cornfield, adapted for film by Carter Blanchard and Craig, follows Quinn (Douglas) and her father (Abrams). The two have just moved to the quiet town of Kettle Springs, hoping for a fresh start. Instead, they discover a fractured community fallen on hard times after the Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burned down. As tensions boil over, a sinister figure emerges from the cornfields to claim one bloody victim at a time.
The first film features a talented cast, including Katie Douglas (Ginny & Georgia). Carson MacCormac (Shazam!), Aaron Abrams (Hannibal), Will Sasso (The Three Stooges), and Kevin Durand (Abigail) also star.
Get ready to be terrified by this twisted tale of horror and comedy. Clown in a Cornfield slashes its way into theaters on May 9, 2025.
