Tobin Bell is back as the iconic John Kramer, aka Jigsaw, in Saw XI, the highly anticipated eleventh installment in the long-running horror franchise.
Directed by Kevin Gruetert (Saw VI, Saw 3D), Saw XI serves as a prequel set between the events of the original Saw and its sequel. Details regarding the plot are scarce. However, in a recent interview with the LA Times, Bell hinted at a deeper exploration of Jigsaw’s motivations. “I’m really excited about continuing to develop him. John Kramer is not done. There’s more to learn.”
Fans learned quite a bit in Saw X, including that Jigsaw’s trip to Mexico and the treatment for his cancer were all scams. Of course, when he finds out, he sets traps for those involved, some of which are his most brutal yet.
Despite the lack of plot details, certain elements are practically guaranteed: deadly traps, new victims, and, of course, the ever-present shadow of Jigsaw himself.
Saw XI’s September 26, 2025, release will position it for a battle at the box office against Warner Bros. Pictures’ The Bride! and Universal Pictures’ Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, both scheduled for release on the same day.
We’ll keep you posted as more details surface. In the meantime, watch Saw X streaming now on Prime Video.
