Gravitas Ventures has unveiled a spine-chilling trailer for the upcoming horror film Inhabitants. The film stars Josh Rivera, known for his role in Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Rivera portrays a tormented young man battling demons from his past. This movie is a different kind of love story.

Inhabitants centers around Francis Morales (Rivera). Francis is a young man who moves in with his girlfriend, Olivia (Anna Jacoby-Heron), in a house in California. However, their families disapprove, particularly Francis’s devout Catholic mother, who expresses her disapproval through unsettling and violent postcards. Following a freak accident, Francis begins to sense a malevolent presence in the house, forcing him to seek his mother’s help.

The trailer for Inhabitants establishes an eerie and unsettling atmosphere surrounding the couple’s new home. The mysterious figure lurking within the house creates a palpable sense of unease, hinting at a film ripe with nightmare-inducing potential. The trailer suggests that the film will unravel its mystery layer by layer, inviting the audience to piece together the truth alongside the characters.

Matt McClung (The Mad Whale) directed. The cast includes Todd Robert Anderson (You’re the Worst), Ana Auther (Goats), Kevin Scott Allen (American Primeval), and Kevin Nealon (Saturday Night Live).

In an official statement, McClung shared insights into the film’s themes and expressed his excitement about its release:

“Our film deals with a wide range of subject matter — fear, guilt, faith, relationships — that we’re hoping will make it resonate beyond its initial premise. But above all, this is a spooky movie to watch on a rainy night. We are excited to share it with the world.”

Gravitas Ventures has announced that Inhabitants will premiere on Digital and on-demand on February 14th. But the Valentine’s Day treats don’t end there. The slasher Heart Eyes will also be released.
