From Black Mandala, behind films like the upcoming horror Play Dead, comes The Containment. This terrifying new supernatural horror film blends psychological terror with demonic possession. Set against a backdrop of deep-seated family trauma, the film, directed by Jack Zagha Kababie and Yossy Zagha, promises a chilling exploration of the darkness that can fester within.
The Containment centers on a young girl consumed by a terrifying entity, its grip tightening with each passing day as she desperately fights to reclaim her soul. Her mother seeks help from doctors, exorcists, and various “experts.” However, none can expel the darkness that has taken root within her child.
The line between the supernatural and reality begins to blur. A devout nun steps forward, determined to confront the evil that has possessed the young girl. However, as she delves deeper into the case, an even more horrifying truth emerges – one that suggests the most significant threat may not originate from the demon itself but from something far more insidious, something that no prayer can save them from.
Written by David Desola and Yossy Zagha, the film stars Fernanda Romero, Jack Gouldbourne, and Alice Coulthard. Roger Cudney, Darren Clarke, Gia Hunter, and Edmund Dehn round out the cast.
The newly released trailer offers a glimpse into the film’s chilling atmosphere and unsettling visuals. It teases a terrifying journey into the heart of darkness.
