AMC Networks has released the first five minutes of “Dark Winds” Season 3. The clip previews the new threat facing Lt. Joe Leaphorn. The critically acclaimed series stars Zahn McClarnon, Kiowa Gordon, Jessica Matten, and Deanna Allison. The series is based on Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee novels.
Graham Roland created “Dark Winds” which focuses on Joe Leaphorn, who takes on different cases and journeys into his own darkness. Season 2 saw Leaphorn and Chee investigating a murder linked to a cult, while Leaphorn continues to seek both answers and revenge for his son’s death. Chee embraces Navajo justice as they hunt down a killer.
“Dark Winds” returns this March on Sundays with eight edge-of-your-seat episodes. It picks up six months after Season 2. Leaphorn and Chee now must investigate two missing boys. An enemy from Leaphorn’s past returns, threatening Leaphorn’s life and the lives of those around him. Leaphorn also finally learns the truth about his son’s death.
