Alright, horror junkies, get ready to mark your calendars! Butchers Bluff is coming to slice and dice its way onto screens this March, bringing a lot of old-school slasher goodness with it. Breaking Glass Pictures is unleashing this gore-soaked love letter to the 80s, and trust me, it’s gonna be a wild ride.
William Instone, the man behind the madness, directed this flick alongside Matt Rifley, and they’ve cooked up something truly gnarly. Think practical effects, suspense that’ll have you gripping your couch, and a brand-new horror icon that’ll haunt your nightmares. Butchers Bluff aims to carve out its own bloody niche in the modern slasher landscape.
Picture this: the creepy backwoods of Texas. A bunch of college film students, all ambitious and ready to make their mark, head out to investigate the local urban legend—the Hogman. This dude’s supposed to be a monstrous figure, responsible for 28 disappearances over the last twenty years. They think it’ll make for a killer documentary, right? Wrong. Dead wrong. Their little project quickly spirals into a full-blown nightmare when they realize the legend is too real.
Rich Wolff, CEO of Breaking Glass Pictures, is hyped about this one. He says, “William Instone masterfully delivers a relentless slasher experience that fans of the genre will devour. ‘Butchers Bluff’ pays brutal tribute to 1980s horror, packed with practical effects, eerie atmosphere, and unrelenting tension.”
Instone himself is stoked to be working with Breaking Glass. “Breaking Glass Pictures immediately understood our vision for ‘Butchers Bluff,'” he says. “Rich Wolff and his team believed in this project and supported us in getting the final polish we needed. I’m excited to bring this passion project to horror fans worldwide.”
The cast includes Michael Fischer, Paige Steakley, Johnny Huang, Paul T. Taylor, Bill Oberst Jr., William Instone, Jeremy London, L.C. Holt, Brinke Stevens, and Bill Johnson.
So, if you’re craving some good old-fashioned slasher action, Butchers Bluff is one to watch. Get ready for some serious gore and a whole lot of scares!
