Broken Mirror Games (the new horror label under Bloober Team), in partnership with Skybound Entertainment, is thrilled to reveal I Hate This Place, an upcoming open-world survival horror game inspired by Skybound’s Eisner award-nominated comic book series created by writer Kyle Starks and artist Artyom Topilin.
Players take on the role of Elena, whose fight for survival begins when she unwittingly awakens a malevolent force. They can engage in tense gunfights and melee combat that rewards ingenuity over brute force. Players can craft essential tools to survive the harsh and unforgiving wilderness long enough to reach safehouses before nightfall. The day-and-night cycle impacts gameplay. Players must avoid the Horned Man at all costs!
I Hate This Place will be shown in a bold comic style reminiscent of the 1980s with each part of the open world that tells its own disturbing story in a world that not only wants you dead but blurs the lines of reality and nightmares!
I Hate This Place will come in Q4 of 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
