Get ready to sink your teeth into a fresh take on vampire horror! Terror Films Releasing (TFR) is bringing you The Night Is Young, a found-footage thriller that modernizes the classic bloodsucker tale. This isn’t your typical gothic vampire story; it’s a race against time in the digital age.

Director and co-writer Patrick Rea aims to deliver a film that blends the familiar tropes of found footage with a unique narrative. Starring Sarah McGuire, Valeri Bates, and Jake Jackson, The Night Is Young follows Nora, a vlogger searching for love, whose online world collides with the terrifying reality of Emilia, a vampire on the run.

Nora and Emilia find themselves thrust into a desperate alliance. They are forced to navigate the treacherous urban landscape as they evade relentless vampire hunters. The clock is ticking, and they must outrun their pursuers before sunrise.

Patrick Rea also produced the film and shares his vision for The Night Is Young. “As a director, I’ve always tried to do something different with each feature I’ve made. I have always been a fan of the found footage genre since seeing the film The Blair Witch Project in the summer of ‘99. However, I wanted to make something that took the subgenre in a fresh direction, yet still maintaining the spirit of what audiences have come to expect.”

Rea’s approach to The Night Is Young aims to inject fresh energy into the found-footage format. He wanted to create a film that felt both familiar and innovative.

“In the summer of 2023, Jake Jackson, Sarah McGuire and I decided to make this project a reality and shot the film over the course of 12 days all over Kansas City. We were lucky to have collaborated with a great group of actors and crew to make what we consider to be a fun found-footage style horror film that combines humor, scares and characters who are likable.”

Rea’s goal was to create a film that not only delivers scares but also features characters that audiences can connect with. He hopes viewers will be invested in Nora and Emilia’s plight and eager to see more of their story.

Terror Films Releasing will premiere The Night Is Young across multiple platforms in North America on April 18th, 2025. This release includes popular streaming services like Tubi TV,  Scare Network TV, Watch Movies Now, and many more.
