Buckle up, buttercups, “50 Cent” is about to unleash a new kind of beatdown – a gruesome horror flick called Skillhouse, and the trailer just dropped! You know how influencers are everywhere these days, worming their way into every nook and cranny of our culture? Well, filmmaker Josh Stolberg (Saw X, Piranha 3D) had a pretty twisted thought: why not throw them together in a deadly horror movie?

That’s the premise behind Skillhouse, a wild ride coming to us from GenTV and Fathom Entertainment. What happens when you cram a bunch of social media influencers into a terrifying game where they have to claw their way to more likes and followers if they want to, you know, not die? You’re about to find out.

An Impressive Cast

Legendary rapper/actor, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Get Rich or Die Tryin’), leads the charge alongside real-life social media heavyweights Bryce Hall and Hannah Stocking. The movie looks like it’s holding up a frighteningly funny mirror to our clout-obsessed culture.

A New Killer Trailer

The Skillhouse trailer throws us right into the deep end. These high-performing social media stars wake up in a seriously messed-up situation. They are in some creepy, unfamiliar building, unzipping themselves from body bags. Talk about a rude awakening! At first, the vibes are almost light as they figure out why they’re there and how to get mysterious collars off their necks. Things are still relatively chill until each gets a personalized video message from “50 Cent”. He lays down the rules of the deadly game. It’s a frantic race for likes, followers, and maximum engagement, with each influencer desperately trying to outdo the others to make it out of this nightmare alive. Think “Squid Game” but with more selfies and way more screaming.

Here’s an interesting tidbit: A member of the film’s crew reportedly fainted due to the gore in one scene. That’s the kind of movie this is.

When Skillhouse opens in theaters on July 11, 2025, get ready to watch influencers fight for their likes and lives.
