Get ready for some serious scares and dark humor this fall! The new horror-comedy Coyotes, starring Justin Long and Kate Bosworth, is hitting theaters this October, courtesy of AURA Entertainment, following its world premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 20.

This isn’t the first time Long and Bosworth have teamed up on-screen. They previously starred together in the 2022 hit horror flick Barbarian and House of Darkness. Their proven chemistry is sure to make this latest collaboration a must-see for fans.

Coyotes flips the typical animal attack movie on its head, focusing on a family trapped in their Hollywood Hills home as a vicious pack of coyotes closes in. The film is an “elevated, nuanced horror comedy with an unsettling atmosphere,” according to Marc Goldberg, CEO of AURA. It’s a genre-savvy film that blends heart-pounding tension with dark humor, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience.

Directed by Colin Minihan (Grave Encounters) and featuring a talented cast including Katherine McNamara (Shadowhunters), Brittany Allen (What Keeps You Alive), Mila Harris (Mary), and Norbert Leo Butz (A Complete Unknown), Coyotes is poised to be one of the most talked-about films of the season.

Coyotes will bare its teeth in theaters on October 3. So, prepare to be terrified and entertained by this wild new take on survival horror.

We all know what Jaws did for sharks. So, I feel compelled to point out that Coyotes rarely attack people in reality. In fact, in history, there have only been two recorded deaths due to coyote attacks—one in Canada and one in California. You can learn more about coyotes here.
