Pam Grier Has Boarded The Upcoming ‘Pet Semataty’ Prequel

The upcoming new installment of the Pet Sematary franchise, set to air exclusively on Paramount+, has added legendary actress Pam Grier (Foxy Brown, Jackie Brown, Mars Attacks) to its cast, Variety reports. Grier joins previously announced cast members Natalie Alyn Lind (“Big Sky”), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), Jack Mulhern (“Mare of Easttown”), and newcomer Isabella Star LaBlanc, with Jackson White (“Mrs. Fletcher”) playing a young version of Jud Crandall. As we reported earlier this month, the movie will serve as a prequel to the Stephen King classic with which Lindsey Beer (Sierra Burgess Is a Loser) will be making her directorial debut. Beer also wrote the latest draft of the movie’s script originally written by Jeff Buhler who penned the 2019 adaptation of the classic. At this time the film’s title has yet to be announced. It is set to begin filming this August. We’ll keep you posted.

The “Slasher: Flesh & Blood” Comic-Con Trailer Reveals A Deadly Game

Shudder unveiled the new trailer for their upcoming series “Slasher: Flesh & Blood” this weekend at Comic-Con@Home and we’ve got it here for our readers to see. “Slasher: Flesh & Blood” follows a wealthy but dysfunctional family gathering for a reunion on a secluded island. Their old wounds and competitive rivalries flare up when the family realizes a masked killer is on the island, intent on cruelly picking them off one by one. Horror legend David Cronenberg has joined the cast for the new season. Paula Brancati, Jefferson Brown, Patrice Goodman, Sabrina Grdevich, and Christopher Jacot will return for the new season and will be joined by Rachael Crawford (Heartland), Sydney Meyer (Departure), Jeananne Goossen (The Walking Dead), and Alex Ozerov (The Americans). Tubi Reviews: Last Rites of the Dead (2006) and Hellfire (2015)

Every now and then folks will clue me in to fright flicks they are associated with, and ask yours cruelly to give them the ol’ revoltin’ review treatment! One such case is this demonic duo, suggested to me by producer Frank Garfi… and if his name sounds familiar I reviewed another film he helped create, 2020’s Twisted Fiction (the review for which you can read right here)… so let’s dive into our first putrid picture, 2006’s zombie apocalypse with a twist, Last Rites of the Dead! Amazon Celebrates Success Of ‘The Tomorrow World’ With New Killer Poster

To celebrate the success of The Tomorrow War, Amazon has teamed up with Aldis Hodge’s (Brother of The Tomorrow War star Edwin Hodge and Star of One Night in Miami) artist collective, 9B Collective, to create an out of this world poster (above) featuring the film’s main cast. 9B Collective’s Kevin Tong created the final image saying: “Amazon’s THE TOMORROW WAR is at its core, a story about everyday people from all walks of life coming together to fight against an overwhelming threat. The part in the film that best exemplifies that is the portal because it is both a literal and figurative doorway to salvation and everyone goes through it and emerges at the same time, right into the action. “Rick And Morty” Payed Tribute To Hellraiser In Episode 5

Season five of “Rick and Morty” has been insane so far and is filled with easter eggs and homages. Last night, they paid homage to Clive Barker’s famous cenobites from Hellraiser, with their own spin. In episode 5, titled “Amortycan Grickfitti”, Rick and Jerry summon cenobites with a demonic puzzle box so they can join them at a karaoke bar for “guys night” while Morty and Summer hang out with the new guy from school. The cenobites explain in one scene to Rick that, “We love suffering, therefore we love hanging out with Jerry…his lameness is our candy.” You can watch the episode on the Adult Swim app.

Chucky Is Back In The New Teaser Trailer For The Upcoming Series

The new teaser trailer is here for Don Mancini‘s upcoming “Chucky” series, giving us our first look at the killer doll bought at a yard sale by a teen. Jennifer Tilly returns as Tiffany; Brad Dourif is back as the voice of Chucky. Dourif’s daughter, Fiona Dourif who is the star of two of the Chucky sequels is also returning as is Alex Vincent as Andy, and Christine Elise. Review: The “American Horror Stories” Premiere Feels Too Familiar

The AHS spin-off “American Horror Stories” has now premiered and is available on both FX and Hulu, and we’ve got thoughts. In the premiere, titled “Rubber(wo)Man”, a young woman (Sierra McCormick) and her two dads (Matt Bomer and Gavin Creel )move into the infamous “Murder House” from season one of “AHS.” Her dark killer instinct comes out as she discovers the gimp suit worn by Tate. You may remember that anyone who dies inside the house, has their spirit trapped there forever, that’s key to the story as the body count quickly rises in the premiere. “American Horror Stories” has been described as delving into “myths, legends, and more.” But we see none of that in the premiere. What we get is kill after kill that feels too familiar. It’s just like another episode of “Murder House,” but with a female serial killer instead of Tate. I can’t say I’m impressed. Much of Ryan Murphy’s “AHS” and “American Horror Stories”
