Universal drops new character posters for The Purge: Election Year!

Being released seemingly in honor of this year’s presidential debate, the third installment to The Purge franchise is coming this July to theaters. Two years after the events of The Purge Anarchy comes another 12 hours of lawlessness for the citizens of America.
The past drop of the trailer for Universal Pictures’ The Purge: Election Year’ revealed the next terrifying chapter that occurs over 12 hours of annual lawlessness sanctioned by the New Founders of America to keep this country great.
Official Synopsis:
“It’s been two years since Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo) stopped himself from a regrettable act of revenge on Purge Night. Now serving as head of security for Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell), his mission is to protect her in a run for president and survive the annual ritual that targets the poor and innocent. But when a betrayal forces them onto the streets of D.C. on the one night when no help is available, they must stay alive until dawn…or both be sacrificed for their sins against the state.”
James DeMonaco directs The Purge: Election Year with returning producers Blumhouse Productions (Insidious, Ouija) and Platinum Dunes (Friday the 13th, A Nightmare On Elm Street, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) aboard once again. Promotions for the film been awesome! Between a cracked Abe Lincoln, Uncle Sam and Statue Of Liberty “purging”, the sequel boasts to be a cracked-crazy perfect addition to the franchise! A series of posters and teasers were recently dropped including a U.K. poster featuring the film’s logos.
