The great old one, or as some call the “great dreamer” will be arriving on console and PC just in time for Halloween! “Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game” by Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive, will be released October 30th of this year (2018)!
The first-person cosmic horror experience takes players to the mysterious island of Darkwater as private investigator Edward Pierce. The game not only is an RPG but it will have stealth mechanics as well that will affect the sanity of Pierce as well as players.
The storyline of the game can be affected by the results of investigations as well by choices made by Pierce. The video game is inspired by the tabletop RPG “Call of Cthulhu” by Chaosium which was inspired by the original short story of the same name by H.P. Lovecraft. The games and story revolved around a mysterious cult and the creature not of this world that they worship.
