Richard Stanley (Hardware, Dust Devil) is returning to the genre next year with Color Out of Space, SpectreVision’s adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft‘s short story. The new poster has landed (above) and teases a terrified family’s technicolor-tinted nightmare. With bubblegum pink, purple, and blue tones, the poster looks like it is the product of an acid trip, but in a good way.
“After a meteorite lands in the front yard of their farm, Nathan Gardner (Cage) and his family find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies, transforming their quiet rural life into a nightmare.”
Nicolas Cage stars alongside Joely Richardson, Brendan Meyer, Madeleine Arthur, Julian Hilliard, Elliot Knight with Q’Orianka Kilcher and Tommy Chong.
Color Out of Space is set to land on January 24, 2020, from RLJE Films.
