The Phantom of the Opera gets another remake…this one will be different though. The original story was written in 1909 by French author Gaston Leroux, but that story has been overtaken by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Broadway play to the point where it has become the story that everyone knows. Anthony Horowitz wants to change that and promises that his re-imagined 6-part mini-series will be much more true to the original novel.
I personally have always loved the story and absolutely immersed myself in everything to to with the Phantom when I was younger so this is amazing news! I am very excited to see what Horowitz will do with the freedom of a mini-series.
