Milwaukee’s Twisted Dreams Film Festival always schedules challenging, gripping horror and related genre-film fare, and the selections for its 6th edition — also its second virtual edition — are no exceptions to that tradition. It is finally time for Twisted Dreams to bring you the 6th annual Twisted Dreams Film Festival. Last year was the first time we did a virtual event, and it was such a huge success that we are going to do it again this year. Due to the overwhelming success we have increased our staff and will be expanding to a 10 day festival (June 4th-13th). We are proud to have an amazing panel of judges this year. Our feature judges will be the legendary actor Mark Metcalf as well as the director of our jury feature for the film H0us3 Manolo Munguia. Judging the short films this year is Kevin McTurk, winner of the jury short for The Haunted Swordsman, R. Michael Gull, star of the film Cactus Jack, and World Famous Comic Nate Ford. Directed by Evil – 61 minutes – Dir. Timothy Nennig A comedic parody of American horror tropes, in which an unfortunate crew struggles to record a b-horror film at a cabin in the woods, until something evil awakens!

Parallel Minds – 86 minutes – Dir. Benjamin Ross Hayden  In the near future, technology firm Red-Eye is on the verge of developing a revolutionary contact lens that records human sight to replicate memories. The device uses an artificially engineered intelligence known as U.R.M. When the company’s lead researcher is strangely murdered at the time of the technology’s release, Thomas Elliot (Greg Bryk), an old-fashioned police detective investigates with intrepid researcher Margo Elson (Tommie Amber Pirie) who are drawn into searching deeper to apprehend the illusive digital shapeshifter. Both soon are terrifyingly threatened by memories of their past the deeper they continue to seek in uncovering what this dangerous artificial intelligence is trying to consume.
