Emma Corrin Boards Robert Eggers’ ‘Nosferatu’ Remake

Robert Eggers‘, the brilliant director of The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman, is now directing a remake of the classic 1922 film Nosferatu.

 

Today, Deadline reports that “The Crown” actress Emma Corrin has joined the cast of the film, but her role is unknown at the moment. Corrin joins already announced cast members Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), Bill Skarsgard (The Lighthouse), Nicholas Hoult (The Menu), and Lily-Rose Depp (The King).

“In the new reimagining, the pic is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman (Depp) in 19th century Germany and the ancient Transylvanian vampire (Skarsgard) who stalks her, bringing untold horror with him.” Deadline states.

 

Eggers (The Witch, The Northman) is directing from the script he penned.

 

The 1922 film, which is based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula, centers on the vampire Count Orlok, who wants to buy a house in Germany and becomes obsessed with the real-estate agent’s wife.
