Saber Interactive delivered more goodies for loyal fans of their Co-Op zombie shooter, World War Z: Aftermath, with not only new updates but also a new campaign level set on the deserted streets of Sin City, Las Vegas. Like winning the jackpot, Saber Interactive was awesome enough to send a copy for me to check out!

The new campaign features four new characters, Sara, a casino worker, Reggie, a high-stakes gambler (assuming), Izzy, a tattoo artist (assuming), and Ed, a cop. The four picked up a message on the radio from a big-time music producer who was held up in a hotel. Now our heroes must battle their way through the sand-covered streets to reach him and escape the city.

At the time of writing this, I’ve encountered a new game mechanic for this campaign where dust storms will cause the players to lose their vision and you’ll have to stop to clean out your eyes, trust me, you’ll want to keep your eyes clean as zombies are everywhere! I’ve also found a new item in the game, a pouch you can find randomly in the world that allows you to carry an additional special item (grenades, Molotovs, etc.).

I was lucky during my first playthrough that I found the new WASP-180 Defensive SMG. This little SMG spits lead, perfect for taking out the hoard as they try to climb up walls! Also, I like the aesthetic of the gun as it’s definitely modeled after a WWII service weapon.

The new campaign is $9.99 and worth the gamble in my opinion. Fans of this game will enjoy the maps, characters, and challenges that made this game amazing from the start. The only complaint I have about this new campaign is since it’s taking place in Vegas, it would have been funny to see some zombie Elvis impersonators or zombie showgirls.
