Today at KONAMI PRESS START publisher broadcast, the gaming publisher showcased upcoming titles that many fans are looking forward to, especially METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER. The excitement for the upcoming titles was warranted, but it was what happened at the closing of the broadcast that’s making news on the web.
KONAMI and Blooper Team are teaming up again and are currently in the development stage of remaking the Survival Horror classic that defined the genre, Silent Hill.
Silent Hill terrified players in 1999 as it followed a widower named Harry who was taking his daughter Cheryl to the abandoned town of Silent Hill. After approaching the town, a mysterious girl walked out in front of Harry’s jeep, causing him to crash. Upon waking up, he finds himself in a densely fog-covered town where horrors lurk.
Since the news of the remake was just made today, there’s no other information than that, so it will remain to be seen what platforms the game will be released on (unfortunately I think it will be a PS5 exclusive like the remake of Silent Hill 2), as well as the release date.
