Recently, the Indie Horror Showcase and Galaxies Autumn Showcase have concluded, but not without announcing some release dates and trailers for some interesting titles.
First up, Blumhouse Games and EYES OUT announced the release date and new trailer for SLEEP AWAKE. An immersive first-person psychedelic horror narrative experience that explores the realm between sleep and death. In a desperate attempt to remain awake, the denizens of the last known city on Earth are reaching a panic crisis of reckless experiments in their effort to avoid The HUSH, the inexplicable disappearance of those who sleep. As Katja, players must survive the devotees of various depraved death cults and desperately try to stay awake. Solve the puzzles of this mysterious world in an attempt to shatter the horrors of the past. SLEEP AWAKE will be coming out on December 2nd for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Next, we have Terrifier: The ARTcade Game by Selecta Play and Relevo. This 2D arcade fighting game allows players to play with friends or go it alone as Art the Clown, or other infamous characters from the Terrifier films, as they try to shut down productions of films about the popular killer clown. Set to come out on November 21st for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
For Lovecraft fans, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss. Take on the role of Noah, voiced by Jua Amir (who previously worked on Detroit: Become Human), an agent specializing in occult cases. His mission is to investigate the disappearance of miners at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, aided by his personal AI, KEY. Madness and horror await you on April 16th, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Taking a break from horror real quick to head on over to Scifi with ICARUS: Console Edition. Set on the hostile planet of Icarus, where humanity’s attempt at terraforming a new home spectacularly failed, players will encounter both Earthlike and extraterrestrial environments filled with unrelenting storms, deadly fauna, toxic air, and sky-shattering lightning storms. As they fight to survive on the alien surface, humanity’s bravest souls will have to explore, craft, hunt, and prospect for invaluable exotic matter as they try to endure this formidable final frontier. This survival experience will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S Q1 of 2026
Finally, we have Liquid Donkey Games’ Folklore Hunter. Become an expert hunter of the supernatural, called into strange places where the creatures from old wives’ tales become horrifyingly real. Use cameras to track the locations of mythic creatures like the horned Wendigo, vampiric Strigoi, and the Mothman! Hunt alone or with friends. The game is set for early access on PC on January 30th, 2026, with a release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S sometime in 2026!
