The Undistilled
Synopsis
The powers were hidden. The land was sacred. Some secrets were never meant to see the light. When a reclusive distiller uncovers a mythic legend hidden deep within his remote homestead, ancient forces awaken — and they’re not willing to let go. Armed with grit, instinct, and a past he can’t outrun, Clyde is thrust into battle against the supernatural forces that could change existence forever.
The Undistilled is the type of fear-fare feature that viewers should go into as cold as possible so that writer/director Griffin Loch’s mysteries go unspoiled. Suffice it to say that the film benefits from emphasizing story and characters, and that the players are up to the task of investing those characters quite nicely, indeed. The special effects work is impressive, as well. For the trailer and more information, visit https://holehead2025.eventive.org/films/690c2c55a0d664ba438c8b78.

The Driftless
Synopsis
Deep river valleys, tall limestone bluffs sawing through the sky . . . thousands of years ago, this unique portion of the Midwest escaped the crushing effects of the giant Ice Age glaciers. But with its scenic beauty, this preserved primal landscape also conceals unimaginable terrors. The Driftless is a horror film that weaves through four terrifying Midwest tales of the macabre. Guided by a mysterious antique store owner, these stories delve into a Mississippi River cult of masked assassins, a grieving musician’s struggle with a cursed bottle of liquor, a motel pool cleaner’s uncanny ability to retrieve time-altering artifacts, and a woman’s blood-thirsty revenge from beyond the grave.

Writer/director Tim Connery serves up a fright-fare portmanteau film that boasts segments ranging from straight-ahead horror to the enigmatic and chilling, from backwoods terror to the supernatural. Fans of the classic The Twilight Zone series and EC Comics’ horror titles are certain to find plenty to like here.
