Dread XP celebrated today a successful year of horror gaming and shared information about what they’re looking forward to in 2026, and one of the games that seemed to somehow gone unnoticed (back in October) is the video game adaptation of Paramount Pictures’ Paranormal Activity, at least an update on the game that’s being develuped by Brian Clark, the mastermind behind the viral hit game, The Mortuary Assistant.
Sadly, not much more information about the upcoming game was released, except for a gameplay teaser from October, which again, somehow went unnoticed. All we know at the moment about the game is that it’s called Paranormal Activity: Threshold. The game follows a couple who moved into a house and began to capture video evidence of demonic forces in their new home.

From the look of the trailer, those who played The Mortuary Assistant will notice some similarities with the gameplay, as it looks like players will have to solve puzzles nightly as they explore the house and capture evidence of the activity. All else that’s known from the little information provided by Dread XP (Which is making me nervous if I’m being honest) is that the game is set to be released in 2026, obviously for PC, with no word yet on consoles.
