The Horror Collective has officially announced that 213 Bones, the feature directorial debut of the late filmmaker Jeffrey Primm, will celebrate its U.S. Premiere at the 26th annual Screamfest Horror Film Festival. The screening will take place at the iconic TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

Set against the moody backdrop of the Pacific Northwest in 1993, the throwback slasher invites genre fans to experience a blood-soaked mystery. One that honors classic ’90s horror traditions on the big screen.

Human Remains and Campus Carnage

The story centers on a tight-knit group of anthropology students. They quickly learn that digging into the past can carry fatal consequences. Human bones and ominous personal belongings begin surfacing across their university campus. Soon, a gruesome, masked killer begins systematically hunting the student body down. Late-night study sessions rapidly devolve into a desperate fight for survival.

An Ensemble Cast Anchoring a Bittersweet Legacy

Luna Fujimoto (Blade of the 47 Ronin), Hunter Nance (Beyond the Rush), and Colin Egglesfield (Something Borrowed) lead the cast. They are joined by Liam Woodrum (Geek Girl) and Dean Cameron (Summer School). Potential victims and suspects also include Francesca Barker McCormick, Sarah Brooks, Toni Weiss, Simone Lockhart, Allegra Sweeney, Elizabeth O’Brien, and Mason Kennerly.

Serving as Primm’s first and final feature film, the Screamfest debut stands as a heartfelt tribute to his passion for slasher cinema.

A Powerhouse 1990s Soundtrack and New Trailer

Enhancing its authentic period setting, 213 Bones delivers a heavy-hitting soundtrack packed with era-defining hits. The film features music from iconic acts including Chris Cornell, Soundgarden, Duran Duran, and Ministry. The soundtrack also includes the Melvins, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Meat Puppets, The Breeders, and Veruca Salt. It also features The Jesus and Mary Chain and Bananarama. Blending grunge, industrial rock, and alternative classics, the soundtrack transforms the thriller into an absolute audio mixtape for nostalgia-loving horror fans.
