Excitement has grown at the Summer Gamefest as during their segment, CAPCOM has revealed the ninth instalment of the Resident Evil game series with Resident Evil Requiem. Details of the story are sparse, but here’s what we know!
From the Looks of it, we’re heading back to Raccoon City with FBI Agent Grace Ashcroft, whose mother was Alyssa Ashcroft, an investigative reporter and playable character in the 2007 spinoff game Resident Evil Outbreak. From the look of the trailer… We’re in for a terrifying ride!
Resident Evil Requiem will not only have action like we’re used to seeing in previous titles, but now the element of Psychological horror is being thrown into the mix! Along with this new element of realism in the animation of the characters and the world, the game will take us into. That’s all CAPCOM has teased us with…for now. Resident Evil Requiem will be coming out February 27th, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
