Nacon and Rogue Factor have released more information about their upcoming third-person action RPG Hell is Us. Along with the news comes a new gameplay video showcasing what awaits players in the world of Hadea, featuring commentary by creative and art director Jonathan Jacques-Belletête.
The dungeons are based on the same philosophy that governs the game, which we call ‘player-plattering’. Through this concept, we want players to rediscover the pleasure of exploring on their own, without being hand-held. Within the deep and mysterious confines of each dungeon, the players must pay attention to their environment in order to orient themselves and figure out how to overcome the many obstacles they face. Each dungeon has its own distinct flavour and memorable moments, culminating in a real sense of achievement once completed.” – Jonathan Jacques-Belletête
In Hell is Us, players take on the role of Rémi, a protagonist on a quest to find his origins in a country ravaged by civil war. The country’s almost total autarky conceals a dark secret: the recent appearance of strange creatures reminiscent of ancient headstones and monuments in the region. Armed with weapons specially forged to fight these monsters, Rémi must learn how to defeat them and use his equipment wisely.
Hell is Us will launch on September 4, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It is currently available for preorder on all these platforms.
