Work simulation horror games are picking up in popularity, so it’s no surprise there would be another one that’s just as horrifying as working for Amazon. This is Cybernetic Walrus and JanduSoft’s ORDER 13, an order fulfillment simulator horror with a twist…it’s not just you that you have to make sure survives…it’s your cat too!
In ORDER 13, you’re playing as a worker in a warehouse fulfilling orders from online shoppers. You live in the warehouse with your cat and other unsettling things lurking in the darkness of the warehouse.
Now, onto the game itself. When it comes to the controls for ORDER 13, you’ll get used to them quickly, even though the game just drops you right into the action without any tutorial/training, which is a lot like the workforce in real life these days.
Sound design is good, along with the soundtrack! Your living space is warm and inviting with music on the radio, but when you leave and go out into the warehouse, the mood shifts quickly. The game’s art is good for an indie, and the monster designs are top-tier.

Gameplay-wise, once you figure out how to read the orders, it’s fun to fill orders by finding them out in the warehouse and other unlockable locations, packaging them up, and sending them off to meet your quota. The tension of trying to survive, exploring the warehouse, and avoiding monsters makes the work a bit stressful, but it’s the countdown to your cat’s demise that makes gameplay frantic! Your cat can die of boredom/loneliness when you’re out in the warehouse. You can purchase upgrades to not only help you out with your work, but also aid in your cat friend’s survival!
What’s nice about this game is that you can turn off the cat’s health meter, so you can focus on your own survival, unless you turn off the monsters as well. So you can make the game as easy or hard as you want!
Overall, for the stress this game put on my heart, keeping my cat alive, I actually had a lot of fun. I would suggest playing the game as intended at first before trying any modifiers to make it easier. The premise is interesting, the gameplay is fun, but replayability once you complete it may make going back to this game a challenge, for me anyway. Someone may actually love playing this one over and over. On my scale of 1-10, I give ORDER 13 an 8/10!
ORDER 13 is out now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
