The fourth film of The Purge franchise has now entered development. A few days ago we announced the producers for The Purge 4. Today, we are able to report that the director for the film has just been announced. Burning Sands’ Gerard McMurray will be in the director’s chair for part 4, written by James DeManaco.
Besides being a director and producer, McMurray is also an actor, appearing in the film Something Like a Business, along with others.
While the cast and synopsis has yet to be announced, it has been said that it will be prequel. We do know that Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Sebastian Lemercier will be producing.
