Rebellion was awesome enough to send me a preview of their upcoming game, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered for the Xbox One. This remastered version of the game is chock-full of goodies for any fan of sniper games, or for someone like me who’s played the original game.
This third-person shooter will take you behind enemy lines towards the end of the Second World War as an OSS operative and sniper. You can go in guns blazing or (my preferred method) stealthy and keeping the enemy as far away as your sniper scope can zoom. You can lone wolf it or bring a friend to back you up.
This game is a lot of fun to play, you can set traps to cover your escape, place explosives for you to snipe, and you can hone your sniper skills (depending on the difficulty). The best part is when you shoot your rifle, there’s a cinematic scene where you follow the bullet to your target, and if possible, see an x-ray vision of the bullet causing damage. You can also capture your best shots with the new “Photo Mode” to share them with friends.
In the remastered version, the main campaign is not the only thing you can do, there are challenges you can play too, including the ASSASSINATE THE FÜHRER challenge where you get the opportunity to snipe Hitler himself.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will be out May 14th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows.
