Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Nightmare Alley’ Wraps Production And Scores A “R” Rating

Genius filmmaker, Guillermo del Toro has now officially wrapped production on Nightmare Alley. Today we’ve learned that the film has been rated “R” for “Strong/bloody violence, some sexual content, nudity, and language.”
 
The all-star cast includes Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, Richard Jenkins, Mary Steenburgen, and David Strathairn.
 
In the film, an adaptation of William Lindsay Gresham’s 1946 novel of the same name, “An ambitious young carny (Cooper) with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words hooks up with a female psychiatrist (Blanchett) who is even more dangerous than he is.”
 
Guillermo del Toro and Kim Morgan penned the script.
