Season 7 of The Walking Dead ended a couple of weeks ago and already news about season 8 is beginning to come in. EW is reporting that three actors are being promoted to “series regulars”.
It seems Katelyn Nacon, who plays the role of Carl’s love interest Enid, will have a bigger part of next season. Maybe we will finally found out why she’s been sneaking about and who she might be spying for. But she might not be a bad kid after all, she has been spending a lot of time with Maggie this season.
Negan’s tequila-loving right-hand man, Simon (Steven Ogg), will be around a lot more. He also is moving up to “series regular”.
Fans were pissed when Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) betrayed Rick in the finale after striking a better deal with Negan. Maybe Rick will finally get revenge next season, because she is going to be around a lot more. Hopefully, Rick and Michonne will take care her and her garbage pail people.
Fans will see an interesting season now that the war has begun and more communities will be in play. Andrew Lincoln (aka Rick Grimes) hinted at what’s to come during an interview with EW last week.
It’s been a lot of placing the chess pieces and positioning and introducing key players in this landscape, Lincoln said. “And I think now we get to start really playing the game. The game is afoot, as we say.”
