Blumhouse Gifts Horror Fans With The Poster For The Black Christmas Remake

Universal and Blumhouse are ready to ring in the holidays. Today the horror powerhouse revealed the new poster for their remake of the 1974 genre classic, Black Christmas.

 

 

With V/H/S director Sophia Takal at the helm and a script by Takal and April Wolfe, the film stars Imogen Poots, Aleyse Shannon, Brittany O’Grady, Lily Donoghue, and Caleb Eberhardt.

 

 

The film centers on a group of sorority sisters at Hawthorne College, who are being hunted down and killed by an unknown stalker. Soon, the killer learns that the school’s women are willing to mount a fight to stop the carnage.

 

 

The original film, directed by Bob Clark and written by Roy Moore, stars Margot Kidder, Olivia Hussey, Keir Dullea, and John Saxon. Black Christmas quickly became a holiday classic for genre fans and is to this day. The film was re-released a couple of years ago on Blu-ray by Scream Factory.

 

 

Jason Blum of Blumhouse, Ben Cosgrove and Adam Hendricks of Divide/Conquer will produce. Executive producers include Divide/Conquer’s Greg Gilreath and Zac Locke.

 

 

Blumhouse’s Black Christmas is set to open in theaters Friday the 13th, of December, just in time for Christmas.
