Haven’t posted in weeks because I had no time, but we wrapped production on Seance on Thursday night, on schedule after 22 shooting days in lovely Winnipeg. Massive gratitude to our amazing cast and crew for making it happen. Can’t wait for you all to see this one when it’s done.”
Barrett continues: “This is the only image from our shoot that I’ll post (taken by our great still photographer Eric Zachanowich) because it reveals nothing and I don’t want people to be sick of our film before it comes out, and I asked everyone to do the same. Accordingly, I’ll try to not mention Seance again until it premieres! But I truly hope everyone enjoys it...”
Inanna Sarkis stars alongside Suki Waterhouse in the film produced by John Schoenfelder, Russell Ackerman, Tomas Deckaj, Adam Wingard, and Alex Mace. Hal Sadoff is executive producing for Dark Castle.
The film is set in Fairfield Academy, an all-girls boarding school haunted by a vengeful spirit, Sarkis plays Alice, a first-class mean girl who stages a seance as a joke that sparks a rash of murders with an apparent supernatural twist. Waterhouse stars as Camille, a young woman who arrives at the school after a student’s sudden and untimely death and must play detective to solve the mystery.
