Sergio G. Sanchez, writer of The Orphanage, is making his directorial debut with Marrowbone, starring Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), which is already being hailed as one of the best genre films of 2017.
The psychological thriller centers on a young man and his four siblings, who have kept secret the death of their mother in order to stay together, are plagued by a sinister presence in the sprawling manor in which they live.
Mia Goth, Charlie Heaton, George Mackey, Kyle Soller, Robert Nairne, Matthew Stagg, Nicola Harrison, and Laura Brook co-star alongside Joy. J.A. Bayona (Jurassic World 2) serves as executive producer.
Marrowbone will be released in Spain on October 27, 2017, from Universal Studios. A US release date has yet to be announced.
