In the last trailer, we saw Russell Crowe’s character, Dr. Jekyll, school Tom Cruise on evil. Now, the third trailer for Universal Picture’s reboot of The Mummy has blown in revealing that Nick, played by Tom Cruise, may have survived a plane crash, but he might be changed for after Princess Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella) has casts an evil curse upon him.
“Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.
From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.”
Tom Cruise (Jack Reacher, Mission Impossible) stars alongside, Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Jake Johnson (Jurassic World), Courtney B. Vance (American Crime Story), Annabelle Wallis (Annabelle) and Russell Crowe (Gladiator) as Dr. Henry Jekyll.
The Mummy, directed by Alex Kurtzman and written by Jon Spaihts and Christopher McQuarrie, will open in theaters nationwide on June 9, 2017.
