A talented group of women have come together to make a female driven horror anthology, ‘XX’. The short films were written and directed by Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body), Jennifer Lynch (Surveillance), Jovanka Vuckovic (The Captured) and ‘American Psycho’ writer Mary Harron. ‘XX’ is comprised of four short films tied together by a common element. Sofia Carrillo (La Casa Triste) will be creating the scenes in between the segments, as well as the beginning sequence.
Women make up half of the fans of the horror genre, but it’s rare that a movie is made with women in mind. ‘XX’ will be made by women, for women. The cast and synopsis are yet to be released, but with such a talented group of writers I expect ‘XX’ will be a great movie. We will see ‘XX’ released some time in 2016.
