Cary Fukunaga is directing the new remake of the classic horror movie ‘IT’. Both the original mini series and the new film are based on the book by Stephen King. ‘IT’ tells the story of a group of teens called ‘The Losers Club’. The group must band together to battle a creepy creature that appears as a killer clown named Pennywise. Decades later the group returns to town and must once again go head to head with the clown, played by Tim Curry. Fukunaga’s version will be split into two movies. In the first movie they will address the battle of the kids and the second will cover the fight by the adults.
The man to play the part of Pennywise in the new film is Will Poulter. Poulter, up till now, has played mostly comedic and light hearted roles, like the one he played in ‘We Are the Millers’. In my personal opinion, I don’t think anyone could fill the big red shoes of Pennywise like Tim Curry did, but who knows, Poulter make a decent clown.
‘IT’ has entered into preproduction. When more details are available we will post an update.
