CBS’s new series ‘Zoo’ is a combination of ‘The Walking Dead’ meets ‘The Wild Kingdom’. The apocalyptic series is based on author James Patterson’s best seller by the same name.

Brad Anderson is directing the series, which will star ‘The Cabin in the Woods’ actress Kristen Connolly, Billy Burke (Twilight), Nonso Anozie (Ender’s Game), Nora Arnezeder (Maniac) and James Wolk of ‘Mad Men’.

In the series animals have risen up against man kind and now see us as a meal. An American Zoologist, named Jackson Oz (Wolk), runs a safari service in the wilds of Africa. Jackson has begun to notice strange behavior amongst the animals. The creatures are becoming increasingly more intelligent, brutal and coordinated. The new behavior is quickly spreading world wide.  Jackson must find the cause for the change, and the cure, before it’s to late for the human race. There’s a new endangered species, and it’s us.
