The long awaited monster shark movie ‘Meg’ is finally moving forward. The script for the movie, based on Steve Alten’s book series ‘Meg: A Novel Of Deep Terror’, will be written by Dean Georgaris, who also wrote the script for ‘The Manchurian Candidate’. The novel series follows a deep sea diver named Jonas Taylor. Taylor believes that a prehistoric Megalodon is alive and lurking in the Mariana Trench. The giant shark has escaped the temperature barrier that has kept it prisoner for so long. Now the shark is loose on the waters of the California coast.
Warner Bros. has reportedly added the project to their list for production in 2016. We will keep you updated as more information comes available.
The real Megalodons is more terrifying than any sea creature you’ve seen in any horror or sci-fi movie. This incredible creature lived from 15.9 to 2.6 million years ago, though some believe it still exists. According to fossils found, the giant creature ranged from 43 to 100 feet long and weighed around 48 tons or more. That’s a lot of teeth and power. Imagine if they really did still lurk out there in the depths? That’s a truly scary thought.
