Michael Myers is back again, in a new film titled ‘Halloween Returns’. Dimension Films has announced that the new ‘Halloween’ has now entered preproduction. ‘Halloween Returns’ will not be connected to Rob Zombie’s version of the 1979 classic or the original series. Patrick Melton will be co-writing the script along with Marcus Dunstan, who will be also directing. The duo, who have teamed up many times before, are behind several of the ‘Saw’ sequels, ‘Pacific Rim’, ‘The Collector’ and it’s sequel.

‘Halloween Returns’ follows a new group of Haddonfield teens. The 18-year-old kid of one of Michael’s victims and the kid of a cop, obsessed with the murders, arrive at the prison. along with their friends, where Michael is held on death row. They are there to watch him be executed, but when Michael escapes, the kids and their friends are in serious danger.
‘Halloween Returns’ will begin filming next month (July). The release date has not been announced at this time, but we will be following the movie’s progress closely and will give updates as we know more.
